Bookroo Monthly Book Subscription Review & Deal for Readers

Bookroo is a wonderful monthly book subscription service for children's books. I was given the opportunity to order a monthly box from Bookroo to try out with my own children. There are many options to choose from when selecting your monthly subscription.  You can choose from board books or picture books. There are three board books in one monthly box, and then there are two picture books in the one monthly box. You may subscribe for one month or choose several others if you would like. The more months that you choose at once the more that you save.

We are always searching for new authors or books that we have not heard of before. This service definitely provides you with a variety of books that are not the typical titles you have seen on store shelves. Our first box arrived within a week of our order. It may take an extra few days due to the fact that the boxes are shipped via Media Mail to keep the costs down for the customers. The books came wrapped in paper, which made it more fun for Wynn to unwrap her newest library additions. She is an emerging reader, and I thought she would enjoy reading new picture books together at bedtime.

The titles we received were Blue Chicken and Oliver's Tree.  We had never read either of these titles before, and so we really enjoyed being introduced to them.

This subscription box is also a great gift for any occasion.  I plan on using this for upcoming birthday parties, as it is always hard to find ideas for children at any age.  I feel like this is a gift that can be enjoyed by all families.

If you are interested in trying out this subscription for your family or someone else you can use this link to receive $5 off a box from their site.   The discount will automatically apply when you head to check out.  If you are purchasing a one time box this will give you two books for approximately $6.50 each, which is a great price!  Both of the books we received were hard back, and I know that is a wonderful savings. Thanks for stopping by, and let me know what you think of Bookroo! I would love for you to give it a try. I was given a discount on a box to review for this post. Thank you to Bookroo for allowing me to do this.

Simple Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

Last week I headed into Target and noticed the Easter clearance was in full swing. I snagged these adorable baskets for a quarter each. I figured I would be able to use them for a little teacher appreciation gift for Wynn's teacher and a thank you to the sweet ladies in the main office.

I also scored some super cute chalkboard tags also at 75% off. I think I got them for $.75

Then I went to Lowe's and picked up some inexpensive flowers called Dianthus and added tissue paper to the basket along with the flowers. The flowers were $1,48 a piece.

These adorable gifts can be used for Teacher Appreciation Week (first week in May), a thank you, get well, hostess gift...you name it!   I have both chalk markers and paint markers but I decided to use a paint marker for this project because I like the color I had available.

This gift was put together for less than $3. It is so inexpensive that you can pair it with a $5 gift card to a coffee shop or even Target. I know that it will bring a smile to the face of the person who receives it, and it will give them something pretty for their desk or table at home.  Thanks for stopping by!
