Tea Cup Candle

I had never attempted to make a candle before, but I had seen a project pinned from Martha Stewart's site that looked adorable. The tutorial for the project is here: Martha Stewart Tea Cup Lights.  I picked up the supplies from both Michaels and Amazon to make the candle. Then I hit up the thrift store at our town hospital and found a tea cup and saucer for $3.00.  




The total cost for the project was approximately $4.50 or so because I have plenty of materials to make some additional candles. It was easy to do and will be headed to someone special very soon.  I am going to have to find some more tea cups.

    Ok, this is brilliant. I've seen this done before but never by someone I know...and now I want to make one too! You did a great job. I love the teacup and saucer.

    That is sooo pretty! I love cups and saucers, and candles are one of my most favorite things, so together, they are wonderful.

    Awesome! I wish you would've done this sooner because one of my friends sold about 20 teacups at a yard sale this summer. They belonged to her husbands ex. :) The only thing I would wonder is if delicate glass like that would break from the heat. I broke a small Yankee Candle a few weeks ago when the match was dropped in because of the heat. It was probably just my luck though.

    That is really adorable! I once saw one of these in a tea cup I adored, but it was trés expensive! How much better to make your own. That would really add some ambiance to a table setting!

    Such a cute idea! I did something similar except i found vintage tea tins and filled it up with soy wax! Great tutorial.
