A friend of mine is getting married in a few weeks. I thought I would try and make her something for her bridal shower gift to go along with the traditional gifts I purchased. I bought white shadow box from Michaels. I removed the glass from the front. Then took a piece of fabric that I had gotten from Jo-Ann's and adhered it to the back piece of the shadow box. I picked up a letter from Michaels for their last name, and then added felt numbers for the year they are getting married.
Here is the final product:
Hope you like it! I had fun making it for them. It's the perfect project to complete when you have a toddler running around because it doesn't take a lot of time.

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteB for BRILLIANT. What a bright, modern twist on a classic monogram. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI bought the EXACT SAME shadow box this week. I had another project in mind when I purchased it, but yours is so great it's seriously making me reconsider my plans. I do have a wedding to go to this month.....
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Would make a great baby gift as well...you could wait until after birth and put the baby's birthday in there instead of just the year. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift! I was thinking the same thing as the last poster about doing it as a baby gift too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Perfect for a baby shower www.iheartpears.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I couldn't respond to you via email. I wasn't sure if you knew that there wasn't a way to do that. Megan
