I found a three pack of canvas bags at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, and was hoping I'd be inspired to complete a project. I decided I would use some materials I had around the house to make some library bags from my little cousins. I gathered some doilies, paint, and sticker letters.
I taped down the doilies around the edges of one side of the bag and painted. They all came from the Dollar Tree.I painted the sticker letters as well to help them match the design that was painted on. Here are the two bags that I made for the little ladies.
Thanks for stopping by!

Love this project to keep everyone excited about reading. Thanks for sharing. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love library bags! Yours turned out so cute. I love any project that encourages reading and a love for books. You could also add a badge (like you would attach to a lanyard) attached with a key chain to the bag handle so your cousins have a place for their library card.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and easy to do project!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try that technique on my drying rack. Looks great!

These are great. I need to make one because the bag I had been using for our library books has torn. I adore the ideas of using doilies to paint on pretty images. I found your blog through thenymelrosefamily linky party and am your newest follower because I love pinterest too.
