Texas Flag Pallet Board Bottle Opener

A friend of ours recently returned from deployment and moved into a new place. Rob and I wanted to create a unique welcome home and housewarming gift for him. Previously we had made a Pallet Board Bottle Opener, and Rob suggested we make one with a Texas flag on it for our friend who is from there.

Rob used a pallet board we had sitting the garage, and then used sample size paints from Valspar to create the flag. He even went to Michael's by himself in search of a star sticker to use as a stencil. What a great guy!  Then he used antique glazing over the entire board to give it an aged look.

Rob then attached a bottle opener that I purchased from Amazon.  We are happy with the way it came out, and are excited to give it to our friend.  The entire project cost around $10 dollars and would make a great gift for anyone because it is easy to personalize.

Thanks for stopping by!
