Valentine Plate "Wreath"

I found a plate on clearance last year at Michaels and then just added it to my pile of crafting supplies. I decided to make a simple plate wreath for my front door for Valentine's Day. I have limited time nowadays during "nap time", and so this project was perfect because it took less than five minutes from start to finish.

I had a wooden word cut out from Michaels and painted it with white craft paint. Then I simply glued it with my glue gun to the plate. Then I added some ribbon to the back to create a way for the plate to hang on my front door. Cute and quick! Now these are starting to be my favorite types of craft ideas.

Recycled Valentine Wreath

I think I am at it again with recycling a wreath I've already made to fit a new holiday.  I took my Halloween Wreath and added some fun Valentine details to it.  

I added some pink ribbon and some felt Valentine stickers to it. I am excited that once again I did not have to come up with a new wreath for my front door. I hope you have a great Valentine's Day. I will be spending mine at a high school boys basketball game with the kids cheering on Rob's team.

LOVE Onesies

I wanted to do something unique for the boys for Valentine's Day   My mom was up for cutting out some letters and hearts for this project, and so she cut everything out and brought it to my house.

She applied the iron on transfer material to the back, and quickly ironed on the hearts and letters to some onesies I already had in the drawer in the boys room.

Here are the boys in their LOVE onesies. They were very cooperative.

 We had to make sure we got a shot with the big sister in it too.

You Warm My Heart Valentine

 This is a fun gift idea for any Valentine in your life. I found these adorable tumblers at the Target Dollar Spot. I placed the first tumbler in a bag I had from Michaels on clearance with some hot chocolate packets.

The second tumbler that I purchased I paired with a Starbucks gift card instead of hot chocolate packets. 

The tumblers were $3 each, and the bags were less than $0.50 at Michaels on clearance.Super simple Valentine gift for anyone in your life. These two are headed to Wynn's preschool teachers.  Thank you for stopping by!

Teacher Valentine Gift Idea

The one thing I really do love about Wynn going to preschool now is that I can make teacher gifts. For Valentine's Day I figured I would give the teachers two little gifts. One that could be used for the classroom and one for themselves. Today, I am sharing the gift I made for them for their classroom.

I got them some new markers and created this little gift using a variety of items. 

First I took two small vases that I bought at the dollar tree. I covered them in a pair of socks I bought last year at Target on Clearance. I cut the toes off of the pair of socks and slipped them over the vases.

I created these adorable little targets using pieces of scrapbook paper, a heart sticker and a small arrow clothespin. The clothespins came in a set of three last year from the Target Dollar Spot at the clearance after Valentine's Day.

I made cute little cards with the saying "You've hit the mark(er), Valentine" and placed it inside with the markers for the teachers.  The only thing I had to buy for this gift were the markers. I hope that the teachers like these. I know Wynn enjoyed helping put all the markers in the vases for them.

Tissue Paper Valentine Art

I am pretty sure I feel the need to do crafts for Valentine's Day thanks to blogging and Pinterest. I have really enjoyed coming up with a few projects this year.  The first one I am going to share is this simple Ombre Tissue Paper Art.  

I had all of the materials already here at home to make this project. If you know my situation right now you'll know how great that is for me. I do not think there is a cart big enough at Michaels for all my kiddos right now, and it would probably be a three hour round trip from start to finish. Alas, I will save my few outings alone for the grocery store and Target.

I took three sheets of tissue paper and cut it into small 1 inch squares. I used a pencil to place the tissue paper around the eraser, and then I dipped  the tissue paper in some glue. I placed each piece of tissue paper in the shape of a heart on a canvas. 

Then I simply cut out pieces of some scrapbook paper and covered them in some glitter to make my arrow.

It took hardly any time to complete, and I think that it turned out pretty cute! It is definitely very kid friendly too. I think I could make this for various holidays down the road. Enjoy your day! 

Easy Valentine Banner

I made this cute Valentine's Day banner for my mom.  I simply used some felt hearts and some pom pom yarn and attached them with glue. Then I packaged it in this cute Valentine take out box. The total cost of this banner was around $2 including the packaging.

Valentine Mason Jar

There are so many cute mason jar ideas out there. I found this idea and thought I would do something to dress up my jar.  I added some jute twine around and cut out a simple heart from scrapbook paper. Then I added some dollar tree conversation hearts. This little jar is going to be on the mantle with my other projects I've made this month.

Love Is Unmeasurable Sign

I bought a large lot of rulers from eBay. I should have just driven about ten minutes down the road to pick them up, because after I bought them I realized it was from someone nearby.  They were only a dollar for 10 rulers.   I wanted to create this sign below and make a heart from the rulers. I am not so great with the jig saw, so Rob agreed to help me out with that part. I used a piece of extra counter top from our built ins, a wooden word cut out for the Love from Michaels, and then sticker letters for the rest.  The entire project cost $2.50 approximately. 

Another simple, sweet and inexpensive Valentine project that I think I can leave out for a little longer too.  I paired it with my Ombre Decoration in my family room.

Valentine's Day Yarn Wreath by Amy

This was my first attempt at making a yarn wreath. I picked up red yarn at Michaels that was on sale, a heart ornament and Styrofoam wreath. This was definitely a tedious project. I simply wrapped the yarn around the wreath and hot glued the ornament.

This project cost around $12.

Valentine's Ribbon Art

The Target dollar section gets me every time I go in there. I guess that's why it is the first thing you see when you enter.  I picked up a pack of about 2 yards of ribbon for Valentine's Day for a buck.  I had some chevron scrapbook paper I wanted to do something with so I created a ribbon heart and then framed it. Quick, inexpensive and cute seems to be the theme with my projects recently. Even Rob liked it! :)

The total cost for this project was less than a dollar. I used just half of the ribbon and the paper was a quarter. The frame was already in my home ready to be used for something new.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
