We have a place called the Westminster Rescue Mission Thrift Barn in our town. I had heard about it through friends before but had never ventured the whole ten minutes from my house to check it out. After a minute inside I was very happy that I had found this place.
It has a particle board top to it and a partially broken back right leg, but for $25 bucks I didn't want to pass it up. I loved the handles and the legs and it reminded me of this dresser in the beautiful nursery from Young House Love that I had pinned on Pinterest.
I had brought the cabinet home in the midst of Rob working on the gray china cabinet, so it immediately became an additional work bench. See I knew it would come in handy.
While I love the bold yellow above to save some money we are going to go with the Valspar Woodlawn Colonial Gray that we used for the china cabinet we are currently finishing up. We would like to do our guest room (maybe next baby room) in a yellow, white and gray color palette.
We hope to get started on this project this weekend. I can't wait to show you how it turns out.
Rob & Megan
We never have deals like that in my area!
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact size and shape of dresser I was looking for for the guest room when I redid this one:

I'm kinda jealous!
Really? I love that dresser you did. I showed it to my husband as soon as I saw it because we love RH. This barn place has a huge selection of furniture. I'm going to have to go back once I finish all the projects I already have lined up. :)
DeleteThank you. We are following back with GFC.
ReplyDeleteHey Megan,
ReplyDeleteI already commented on the dresser but I wanted to let you know that there is a game of "tag" going around blogland and I tagged you & Amy to answer some Q's!
