Bags for Library Books

I found a three pack of canvas bags at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, and was hoping I'd be inspired to complete a project. I decided I would use some materials I had around the house to make some library bags from my little cousins.  I gathered some doilies, paint, and sticker letters.
I taped down the doilies around the edges of one side of the bag and painted. They all came from the Dollar Tree.
I painted the sticker letters as well to help them match the design that was painted on.  Here are the two bags that I made for the little ladies.

  1. Love this project to keep everyone excited about reading. Thanks for sharing. ;o)

  2. I love library bags! Yours turned out so cute. I love any project that encourages reading and a love for books. You could also add a badge (like you would attach to a lanyard) attached with a key chain to the bag handle so your cousins have a place for their library card.

  3. I can't wait to try that technique on my drying rack. Looks great!

  4. So cute! Love the colours together and the doilies worked great as stencils. Thanks for sharing at Etcetorize this week!
