Two years ago I saw the most incredible pumpkins pinned on Pinterest. They were done by Shannon at Madigan Made. (click on the link for the tutorial) I've made a few of these since, and I absolutely love them.
All you need to get is a pumpkin and push pins from the Dollar Tree. I then wanted to have something other than the typical brass or silver coloring, so I used some leftover metallic spray paint to finish the pumpkin off.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy your week.
That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Love the texture and colour! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous. It must be pinned! :)
ReplyDeleteCute, Megan! Pinned it!
ReplyDeleteI love all those thumbtack crafts and this is no exception. Great job
ReplyDeleteLove the texture and that industrial look, pretty!
ReplyDeleteI suppose this wouldn't work with ceramic pumpkins, huh :)...Love the chic makeover you gave your dollar store pumpkin. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteThat looks pretty cool. I bet if you spray painted the pumpkin underneath, you could have a little more leeway and not have to cover every speck of yellow.
ReplyDeleteIt does look awesome though! Love it!
Whoa! that is really cool! I bet it was kind of relaxing to just sit and put all of those pushpins in too! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis thumbtack pumpkin is amazing! So clever and cute!

Ah now I have much better idea what my $ tree pumpkin can look like. I sprayed it with silver and was going to add some kind of embellishment but nothing appealed, til now. Love the thumbtack look, awesome. Great idea and think adding thumb tacks to it can only make it look better, put some pizzazz in it. Happy week
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I love the texture that the thumbtacks bring to the pumpkin. I'd like to invite you to link up this little gem at our All Things Thursday Blog Hop and/or It's Fall Y'all Link Party. Thanks for stopping by to leave a sweet message about my stenciled pillow.
