Golf Themed Birthday Party

We celebrated the second birthday of our twins a bit early this year. I wanted to get a chance to enjoy the outdoors instead of being stuck inside. I decided I would do a quick post to share some of the ideas we incorporated into the party. Many were inspired by all the amazing parties on Kara's Party site.

The best part of this party was that we were given probably almost a thousand golf balls a few years ago from our family member. They had collected them in their yard on the golf course they live on.  They helped to make an instant decoration for our party. They finally served a purpose because Rob is not playing too much golf nowadays. I filled buckets from Oriental Trading and Dollar Tree with golf balls and made signs from Scrapbook paper and skewers for the food and announcement signs.

I set up a spot by the front door with a book I purchased from Amazon called "P is for Putt", which is an adorable book with a ton of information. I asked guests to sign the book as a memory for the boys in as they grow up. I made the sign on a wooden cutout from Michaels, paint, scrapbook paper and my Silhouette Cameo.

I made golf ball white chocolate lollipops from Wilton Candy Melts and a plastic golf ball pop mold I purchased on Amazon. Then I added them to the bags I had leftover from their first birthday party, and attached a thank you tag that I had made from an Etsy vendor.

A Pro Shop was set up for our little party guests complete with golf bags from Walmart for the toddler and older kids. The Sassy golf club set for our youngest guest was found on Amazon.  I also bought foam blue visors from Amazon as well. The table was decorated with some tissue decorations from Oriental Trading and a homemade Pro Shop banner. I made it using scrapbook paper and my Silhouette Cameo.

Here is some of the food that we served at the party. We kept it very basic. I do sort of have my hands full right now as you may know. I ordered Subway Subs and Chick-fil-A nuggets. We had oranges, watermelon, chips and cupcakes. I also made some Party Burgers from the recipe shared here by Kevin and Amanda.  Just for fun I put tees in the sandwiches. I borrowed an idea from Delightfully Noted to place the toy golf carts I bought on Amazon on my Boon Drying Racks that resemble grass.

At the 19th hole we served Water Hazards, Beer Birdies, Arnold Palmers and Amateur Apple Juice.
The cupcakes were store bought, and then I cut out golfer silhouettes on my Cameo. I simply glued them to toothpicks to make instant cupcake toppers.

Best picture of the whole group enjoying the party. We were so happy to have beautiful weather and everyone had a blast. These two boys are a trip and we enjoy their joyful spirits.

Monster Themed Birthday Party

We hosted Wynn's fourth birthday party this weekend. This was the first year we did it outside of our house. I am sure glad we decided to do that.  My friend came early along with my parents to help us set up the party room at a local indoor sports center. We had thirty minutes to put everything together and I think it turned out really cute.

I purchased this large poster from Party City to take pictures of everyone in front of it. Wynn was the first one to get her picture taken. She was so excited to have a Monsters themed party.  This was super because it was large and it was only a few dollars. There were only a few areas that I actually included the characters. I tried to stick mainly to the colors of turquoise, blue and green.

We set up this table right where the guests would walk in. That way they could drop off their gift and pick up their favor bag easily on the way out.

The kids arrived and everyone headed to the court area to play some games. Thank goodness Wynn's Uncle Chris is an elementary P.E. teacher because he made it a lot of fun. The kids loved playing with the parachute especially.

Then it was time to head back to the room for dinner and treats of course.  I used the projects I had put together a few months back to decorate the table and some of Wynn's toys.
I took some scrapbook paper and made the eye of Mike Wazowski for the tops of the applesauce.
The cupcakes were from BJ's and the kids cupcakes had Monster Cupcake Toppers from Edible Designs by Letty on Etsy.

Everyone had a great time. We were all in bed by 8:30, so we know that we were definitely exhausted. :)  This was at the end of the party. Do Rob and I look sleep deprived? We were working on only a few total hours over the past few days. Davis is with Rob and Ty is with me in this shot.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this post.

Monsters Inc Party Food & Beverage Labels

I purchased these some small frames in the Michaels dollar spot for $.40 each. I decided I would use them to label the food and drinks at Wynn's monster party this weekend.

First up is for the drinks I created a label called the Waternoose Watering Hole after the Monsters Inc. character Mr. Waternoose.  I plan on using all of Wynn's little figures to go  along next to the signs at the party.
Wynn's favorite is No. 1, and so I incorporated her in the treat area. After all are the desserts not the number one treats of the party?
We are having Mike Wazowski applesauce, and I cannot wait to show you how cute the containers turned out next week.
Finally we have the Sully Slices aka the pizza slices that will be served for dinner.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out some of the details for Wynn's monster party. I cannot wait to show you more of the party details next week.

Monster Party Outfits

Wynn's Monsters Inc themed birthday party is this weekend. She is beyond excited, and I am beyond excited that we are not hosting it at our house. Every year we have had her party here, but it really limits the space we have. It also means that I have to really clean my house. So, I decided this year that we would have it at our local indoor sports facility where Rob works in the summer.

I wanted to share what the kids will be wearing at the party. We wanted to sort of do her party in the colors of Monsters Inc and limit the actual character portion of it to a few things. The first way we incorporated the characters is the clothes they will wear. I ordered this adorable dress from the Etsy shop called My Cute Baby Store. This dress is so adorable in person, and I love all the bright colors.

Wynn insisted that her brothers be in something Monsters Inc for her party. I went online and ordered these adorable sleepers from the Disney Store, and they were on clearance. I think with shipping I was able to get them both for under $15.

I am looking forward to sharing some photos and ideas from her party next week. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Ice Cream Party Dessert Table

Wynn's party was such a fun one. We had our lovely friends and family over to celebrate on Saturday afternoon. The theme of course was ice cream.  Here is the dessert table I set up for the party.

Here are my grocery store cupcakes with fondant toppers from Edible Designs By Letty's Etsy store.
Here is my number three that I made with cardboard and paper shred. Then I had my Rice Krispie Treat cones, marshmallow ice cream cones, and my chocolate lollipops in front of the number 3.
I bought some popcorn buckets from the Dollar Tree and lined the top with ribbon and labeled them with chocolate and vanilla to put the ice cream containers in. Then I had my ice cream cone jar and my toppings containers from the tag sale at Elizabeth & Co.  I had some yellow and white stripe fabric on the table and had pink and white stripe fabric hanging in the background.
I bought these cookies from an Etsy shop. They were delicious.
Here is a close up of the cupcakes.

These beautiful number three lollipops were a special treat from Vintage Confections
We were so happy that everyone enjoyed themselves and that the birthday girl didn't want the party to end.

Thanks for stopping by!
