Coffee Filter Wreath

I recently completed this coffee filter wreath.  I had pinned a coffee filter wreath a while back and thought it looked like a fun project to try out.  I'll Get You My Pretties provides a great tutorial and it's a lot less time consuming then other types of coffee filter wreaths out there. I completed this one in one viewing of Sleeping Beauty with my daughter. That is the movie of choose at this point in our summer.

I purchased this straw wreath from Hobby Lobby for approximately five dollars.  Then I got a large pack of coffee filters from the Dollar Tree.  I did not even put a dent into that pack of coffee filters either. I could make a few more projects with what is left over. I flattened the filters in half and layered them one one another until I made it all the way around.

I had some leftover fabric and jute from other projects. I was about to make some fabric flowers using the tutorial provided by Ruffles and Stuff.  Then I cut out some pennants for the garland across the back. I won some fabulous twine from the The Twinery through a fantastic giveaway a few weeks ago from Audra at The Kurtz Corner, so I made little bows to go on each of the pennants across the wreath.

The total cost for this project was $5.00.  I was excited to try out this project because I had pinned or liked several variations in the past few months.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. We are having a beautiful one here in Maryland.
